On October 29, Wahkiakum Outdoors will offer another very interesting presentation at 6:30 p.m., at the Hope Center (3rd and Maple Streets) regarding Honeybees and Beekeeping. The presenter is Bill Holmes, President of Cowlitz Beekeepers Association. Learn about what a swarm means, who lives in a colony, parts of a hive, and much more.
For November, the Book Club selections are as follows: Jane Kirkpatrick’s Every Fixed Star, Molly Gloss’s Falling from Horses, Jacqueline Winspear’s Messenger of Truth, Caroline Graham’s Camilla: Her True Story. Read one or read all or read something you consider interesting and add to the lively discussion at the community center on Friday, November 8.
As always, everyone is welcome to join in the ongoing events at the community center such as the Walking group that meets at 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, Cribbage on Wednesday evenings from 7-9, Sandra Sews on Thursdays at 10 a.m., Brown Bag at 11 a.m., on Fridays, and Free Movie Night from 7-9 p.m., Fridays.
