The Wahkiakum High School cross country team traveled to Mossyrock on Tuesday to compete against five other teams in a 2B District IV Central League Meet.
Riley Kent of Toutle Lake led the field of 47 runners in the boys’ 5,000 meter race with a time of 17:08. Jamil Dimaano took 18th place for Wahkiakum with a time of 20:52. Titan Niemela finished in 22:46 for 32nd place. Kaiden Ray took 37th place with a time of 23:30. Alex Tantum finished in 43rd place with a time of 25:00.
Selena Niemi of Rainier led a field of 21 runners in the girls’ 5,000 meter race with a time of 20:35. Alexzandria Watkins took 20th place for the Lady Mules with a time of 31:40, followed by Kimberlee Watkins, who took 21st place with a time of 32:08.
The team had another meet in Longview yesterday (Wednesday); results were not available at press time.
