Tidy Up the Town event set for Oct. 26

To The Eagle:

On October 22, 2016, The Pioneer Community Association sponsored the first “Tidy Up the Town” in recognition of National Make A Difference Day. The event was so successful that we hosted a second “Tidy Up the Town” event in April of 2017 to do some serious Main Street spring cleaning prior to the start of our tourist season; and since then have continued to host both fall and spring clean-up events. This coming October 26, 2019 marks the seventh time we have invited community members to join with us as we pull weeds, cut back blackberries, trim shrubs and polish up our much loved Cathlamet Main Street.

Plan on showing up at the Community Center on the corner of Main St and Columbia St at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 26. We will have you sign-in, take a group photo and spread out to tackle our project list. Many hands make light work. So do many weed-eaters, rakes, hoes and wheelbarrows! Gather your family, friends, co-workers and/or neighbors and put together a team. T.E.A.M. – Together Everyone Achieves More.
