Coming Events--Community Center in Cathlamet

On Friday, October 11, in addition to the brown bag lunch, the monthly Book Club will meet at 11 a.m. There are three books to choose from this time. The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James, Absalom, Absalom by William Faulkner, or As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. Bring your lunch and stop by for lively discussion of whichever selection you choose.

On Saturday, October 12, the Ten Year Dress A Girl International Anniversary Celebration Open House will be held from 11-2 p.m. The open house is to honor all women sewing in our community to dress one girl at a time around the world. Dress a Girl dresses will be on display to admire. Open to the community. There will be refreshments and door prizes.

On Tuesday, October 15, SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) will be at the Community Center from 10-noon. Washington state's SHIBA provides free, unbiased and confidential help with Medicare and health care choices to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Ongoing events: Walking group meets in front of Community Center Monday- Friday at 9 a.m., Cribbage occurs on Wednesday evenings starting at 7 p.m., Sandra Sews is every Thursday at 10 a.m., and Free Movie Night starts at 7 p.m., on Fridays. All are welcome!
