On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m., the Photography Club will meet. This club meets once a month on the first Saturday of the month and is hosted by Diana Zimmerman.
On Monday, Oct. 7 from 9-10 a.m., a 1-hour informational session on a business planning program will be held. Here are the details:
Enterprise for Equity (E4E) and Pacific County Economic Development Council (EDC) present Coastal BizWorks, a business planning program that supports the owners of new and burgeoning small businesses in Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties.
Before committing to the full 40-hour program, E4E and EDC would like to invite interested parties to attend one of four one-hour informational sessions in Southwest Washington on October 7 and 8.
These informational sessions give an overview of Coastal BizWorks and what their program can offer you: business development fundamentals, professional evaluation of business feasibility and readiness, business planning guidance, and even start-up capital.

On Friday, Oct. 11, in addition to the brown bag lunch, the monthly Book Club will meet at 11 a.m. There are three books to choose from this time. The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James, Absalom by William Faulkner, or As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. Bring your lunch and stop by for lively discussion of whichever selection you choose.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Ten Year Dress A Girl International Anniversary Celebration Open House will be held from 11-2 p.m. The open house is to honor all women sewing in our community to dress one girl at a time around the world. Dress a Girl dresses will be on display to admire. Open to the community. There will be refreshments and door prizes. Please stop by!
Ongoing events: Walking group meets in front of Community Center Monday- Friday at 9 a.m., Cribbage occurs on Wednesday evenings starting at 7 p.m., Sandra Sews is every Thursday at 10 a.m., and Free Movie Night starts at 7 p.m., on Fridays. All are welcome.
