WHS Cross Country

Five Wahkiakum Mules cross country runners competed in the 2B Central League opener in Onalaska on Tuesday. They joined cross country teams from 12 other schools in southwest Washington.

Senior Jamil Dimaano took 30th place in the boys’ 5,000 meter run with a time of 20:55.57. He was followed by junior Alex Tantum, who took 50th place with a time of 23:33.26. Freshman Kaiden Ray finished in 25:04.13 for 57th place.

Sophomore Alexzandria Watkins took 39th place in the girls’ 5,000 meter run with a time of 31:21.08. Her twin, Kimberlee Watkins, wasn’t far behind, finishing in 42nd place with a time of 31:41.45.

The Mules traveled to La Center for another meet on Wednesday, but results were not available by press time.
