Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Harold Pinter’s “Betrayal” will be performed August 28, 29, and 30, 7 p.m., at the McTavish Room of the Liberty Theatre, 1203 Commercial St., Astoria.
Presented by The Liberty Players, Betrayal is the story of an illicit affair that unfolds in reverse - from the end of a marriage to the first forbidden spark.
Written by Harold Pinter in 1978, Betrayal features Pinter's characteristically economical dialogue, characters' hidden emotions and veiled motivations, and their self-absorbed competitive one-upmanship, face-saving, dishonesty, and (self-)deceptions.
This performance features an all-star cast of Katrina Godderz, Daric Moore, and Stephen Wood and is directed by Seneschal Incavo.
Tickets are $10 and doors open at 6:30 p.m., for all shows. This play contains adult themes and may not be suitable for everyone.
