Advisory issued for county

Wahkiakum County Health Department has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Western Wahkiakum County due to a couple small fires north of Wahkiakum County near the Pacific/Lewis county line. Wahkiakum County is currently experiencing unhealthy air quality levels, based upon Washington State standards.

Sensitive Groups such as those with asthma, respiratory issues and heart or lung disease should stay indoors and everyone should limit time spent outdoors.

This advisory was updated Wednesday and may be lifted by Thursday.
