Margaret Alice Stockhouse Sherbeck

October 21, 1970- July 25, 2019

“Softly the leaves of memory fall,

Gently, I gather and treasure them all,

Unseen, unheard,

You are always near,

So missed, so loved, so very dear.”

Colin Gordon-Farleigh

Our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother has passed on from our lives.

Margaret was born on October 21, 1970 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Robert E. and Diane C. Stockhouse. She graduated from Forest Grove High School (1989) and studied at George Fox University. Margaret married Joe Sherbeck August 15, 1993 and gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Chelsea and Georgia Sherbeck. Margaret had been living in Monahans, Texas at the time of her death.

Margaret was a beautiful, kind and generous soul. Her bold and infectious laugh filled any room, along with her witty sense of humor. Cooking, collecting knickknacks and caring for others were a few of her numerous qualities. She loved deeply. Above all, she cherished her family and friends, and she will be forever missed.

Margaret is survived by her parents, Rob and Diane, sisters Marti (Hal) Kintigh and Susan (Smith) Maddrey, husband Joe, daughters Chelsea and Georgia and grandson, Jack Davis. She is also survived by brother-in-law Wayne (Holli) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Margaret was preceded in death by her brother Robert Stockhouse III, grandson Lincoln Brandenburg, mother-in-law Lanis Sherbeck, father-in-law Larry Sherbeck, and her grandparents, Robert and Jean Stockhouse and Noah and Alice Gross.

A service is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be sent to St. James Family Center in Cathlamet.
