The Naselle/Grays River Valley School District Board of Directors met for its monthly meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.
In personnel matters, the board acknowledged the resignation of Karl Johnson, drama director, and approved a resolution for fixing and adopting the budget for the 2019-20 school year. Three other items were approved as well: an upgrade to the phone system, not to exceed $31,000, the replacement of laptop computers, not to exceed $21,000, and the replacement of gutters on the middle/high school wing, not to exceed $11,500.
The board welcomed new Principal Stephen Doyle.
Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting, the board held a special meeting to conduct a budget hearing for the 2019-20 school year in which the district’s new business manager from Educational Service District 112, Kristin Correll, was present.
The next regular school board meeting will be August 20 at the Grays River Fire Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
