PAPA produces Mary Poppins

The Peninsula Association of Performing Artists will present their summer production of Mary Poppins, the Broadway musical, based on the stories of P. L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film, June 28 - July 28, at the historic Fort Columbia Theater, above the tunnel at the Fort Columbia State Park, Washington.

This is a fantasy story of the nanny, Mary Poppins, and her two mischievous charges, changing the life of a dysfunctional London family with the help of a chimney sweep.

All PAPA productions are located at the Fort Columbia State Park Theater, overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River. PAPA has a history of entertaining audiences with summer productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Once Upon a Mattress, Fiddler on the Roof, and more. Mary Poppins audiences are promised to be entertained by skilled actors, dancers, singers, artists, and technicians as they work to meet the mission of providing family friendly theater for the entertainment and cultural development of the community.

Tickets are on sale at the PAPA website, http://www.papatheater.com/ooam-tickets, and at the Okie’s Sentry customer service counter in Ocean Park. Performances are Friday, Saturday, 7:00 p.m., and the Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m.
