Mule golfers hold tourney, have awards

The 2019 Mules Golf season ending banquet was held on Sunday, preceded by a golf tournament including family and friends.

The tournament was a four-person, nine-hole scramble. Tying for first place gross at seven under par were the teams of 1., David McNally, Steve McNally, John Dudley, and David Froode and 2., Tyler St. Onge, Logan LaBerge, William Guitron and Brody Carlson.

Winning the handicapped division at nine under was the team of Pete LaBerge, Roy LaBerge and Mules golf coaches Nick Vavoudis and Eli McElroy.

St. Onge captured the coveted Most Valuable Player trophy, the award for the lowest season average, and also the most medalist award. LaBerge captured the most improved award and the “Zach Calvert Iron Man” award. William Guitron received the “Newcomer of the Year” award.

Varsity Letters went to St. Onge, LaBerge, Zach Johnston, Guitron, Elijah Doiron, Joseph Savelio, Kaleo Silva and Braxton Johns. Junior varsity letters went to Valente Guitron, Victor Hummer, Colten Vic, Mike Martin, Robert Will, Wyatt Bruntmyer with eight graders Sebastian Brit and Klayton Sciuto.

Skyline’s Summer Golf Camp will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 2 at 9:30 a.m. for middle school and high school aged kids. Lessons will continue through the first week in August.
