In recognition of Memorial Day, both lanes of the SR 409 Puget Island Bridge will re-open to traffic beginning at noon May 24 through May 27, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.
Beginning May 28, crews will resume the around-the-clock, single lane closure of the bridge for bridge painting work.
At this time, there are no full closures of the bridge scheduled, the announcement said. Later this year, crews may need to schedule overnight, full closures of the bridge for deck paving work.
