Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The winner of the 35th annual Great White Tail Run art contest is Galina Goldinov, a 7th grader at John C. Thomas Middle School. Galina will receive $25 and a shirt with her design. Second place winner, Shayla Russell and third place winner, Reagen Hoogendoorn are both students at John C. Thomas Middle School and will receive art supplies for their entries.
Honorable Mention: Alison Will, Kamryn Watkins, Mackenzie Murray, Margarita Goldinov, Reagyn Watkins and Yanessa Licerocarillo, who are all students of the Wahkiakum School District.
The Great White Tail Run, sponsored by Wahkiakum 4-H, will be held on May 18 at the Julia Butler Hansen National Refuge in Skamokawa.
