Trunk Sale at Elochoman Slough Marina

April weather made an appearance at the Trunk Sale hosted by the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce and Wahkiakum County Port 1 this weekend, but it didn't keep vendors or shoppers away. In fact, there was a buzz of activity as a crowd perused the items for sale shortly after the event started on Saturday. Children and adults played games, and a line had formed in front of the new KCC Concession Stand at the Elochoman Slough Marina, with people purchasing popcorn, cotton candy, and more. Despite the constantly shifting weather, more than one person said they would like to see the Trunk Sale happen again.

Top: Linda and Brian Elliott hoped to sell a boat, but shoppers were more interested in their other items.

Right: John Early and his wife Susan (not pictured) had a huge inventory. Fingers crossed they and the other participants will be back for another Trunk Sale.

Below: The balloon guy traveled back and forth throughout the event, making balloons for the little ones and making the grown up kids laugh out loud.
