VIPS adding visitation program
The Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) is pleased to announce a new program called “VIPS Visits” that will benefit community members who may need a visit from a caring volunteer.
Volunteers are now offering to stop in and check on a loved one, neighbor, or friend who is physically challenged, unable to leave their home, or lives alone and would enjoy a friendly visit on occasion.
Like our current “Vacation House Check” program, just sign yourself up or sign up a loved one (with their permission) using our simple VIPS visit form, and a volunteer would gladly stop by on occasion. We are launching this program as soon as the first request comes in!
Our volunteers are limited to occasional visits and do not transport or run errands for people, but they would gladly stop by and check on folks or visit for a short while or provide more resources to people in need!
You can fill out the form in several ways – call Raedyn Grasseth at 360.795.3242 Ext. 2, download the form on our website: https://www.co.wahkiakum.wa.us/149/Sheriffs-Office or stop by the office and fill out one at the counter.
