The Naselle Finnish American Folk Festival is sponsoring its first event at the new Naselle Community Center. The Naselle Congregational Church has gifted the building to the Finn Festival group and they will hold their first kick-off event on Saturday, February 16, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with a concert full of talents.
The talents will include Carl Wirkkala, country songwriter and musician, Richard Ellis, vocalist, Kim Angelis, professional violinist, Gene Quilhaugh, folk singer and Lydia Ballif on piano.
A spread of local fares and ethnic foods will be on hand downstairs after the concert. The public is welcome to attend. They will also give tours of the building to any interested visitors.
Donations will be taken at the door and will be used to upgrade the building and sound system, and plan for a stage to host plays and concert events.

Their 2nd event will be a meet the artist day with professional and new artists.
They will display and sell their works at this event. The date will be Saturday, March 30 from 2-5 p.m., at the Naselle Community Center. All are welcome.
