Lions Club honors students

At their recent meeting the Lions Club honored two seniors as Lions Students of The Month.

Top right: Kayleigh Nakonsky was the November Student of The Month. Kayleigh is planning to seek a degree in Education and maybe do some event planning. She has been active in planning the dances at the HS. One of these was done as an independent project. She loves to volunteer and help others and is there to support her school in team sports. She is pictured with her mother, Patty Nakonsky, as Lion President Terri Elfers presents her with a check and a certificate of recognition.

Bottom right: Destiny McGowan is pictured with her mother, Michale Curl, as Lion President Terri Elfers presents her with a certificate and a check to honor her as the Lions December Student of The Month. Destiny is active in Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. She likes to ride horses and is interested in the campaign against abuse. After graduation she is planning college and a career in nursing.

Top right: In commoration of 100 Years of Lions Club Service The Int. Lions Club is honoring members who bring new members to the club and who continue as a member for a year, with a Silver Centennial Pin. Then if that member continues as a Lions Club member they are eligible to receive a Gold Centennial Pin. Pictured is Lion Brian McClain as he receives a hand shake from President Terri Elfers as he receives his Gold Centennial Pin.
