Dolores Nelson

Dolores Nadine Nelson, 87, of Rosburg, died December 6, 2018 at Canterbury Gardens in Longview. She was born December 31, 1930 to Rudolph and Ellen (Keranen) Larson.

She was a lifelong Wahkiakum County resident attending Naselle-Grays River Valley schools.

She married Roy Nelson on May 8, 1948 and they raised their children in Rosburg, where she worked at Appelo's Store as a clerk for many years.

Dolores was an avid Comets fan and never missed a school event or ball game. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and was a devoted mom and grandma. She always enjoyed family time, shopping and eating out!

She is survived by her children Gary, Greg (Karen), Trudy and Lisa Nelson (Darrell Fields); two brothers Dennis and John Larson and a sister Donna Wiitala; three grandchildren Karli, Kayti and Kelsi Nelson; a special uncle Robert Larson and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by Roy in 2006.

No service will be held at her request. A private burial will take place at Grays River Cemetery. Dowling Funeral Home of Cathlamet is in charge of arrangements.
