Wahkiakum Lighted Christmas Parade to be held December 15

Head to the Elochoman Marina Saturday December 15 at 6 p.m., for the first annual Wahkiakum Lighted Christmas Parade. Rain or shine this will be a fun event, watching the Christmas lights in motion.

Anything you can put lights on can be entered in the parade including tractors, lawn mowers, cars, trucks, trailers, boats, floats, horses, dogs, people, you name it. How about a wagon of carolers or a lighted hay ride? Boats are also welcome to light up the marina and the nearby river.

Applications are available at Skamokawa General Store, The Rosburg Store, River Mile 38 and Bank of the Pacific Cathlamet Branch. There is no fee to enter.

This first year the parade will be small and held on marina property. Hot cocoa and popcorn provided by The Hotel Cathlamet and another private sponsor will be served at the marina pavilion. River Mile 38 will be cooking up some hot dogs at the brewery and Maria’s Taco Shack will also be open.
