Sheriff's Report, December 6, 2018

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

November 26 — 7:28 a.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a Rosburg resident who had fallen. 12:26 p.m. A parent reported that her daughter had been assaulted at a Cathlamet school. 1:04 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported a missing dog. 2:11 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident with low blood pressure. 3:46 p.m. A deputy was requested for a civil standby in Grays River. 5:03 p.m. A deputy, Grays River Fire Department, and the Grays River ambulance responded to a Rosburg home. Lifeflight was activated. 5:35 p.m. A vehicle was traveling at high speed on SR 4 just west of County Line Park. 9:25 p.m. An Oregon resident who was missing two German shepherds after a hike on Saddle Mountain said she had received a call from someone who had reported seeing them in the Grays River area. 10:28 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that a hitchhiker he had picked up and brought to his home was crazy. An individual was taken into custody.

November 27 — 5:44 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident with respiratory issues. 3:21 p.m. Water was over several roadways in the Westend. 3:38 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported that a bullet had gone through his windshield. 4:44 p.m. A Skamokawa resident complained about a neighbor’s dog. 6:12 p.m. A caller reported that a child on Puget Island had been throwing rocks at his car. 6:35 p.m. A dog was found in Rosedale.

November 28 — 6:16 a.m. A caller reported that child pornography was being posted on Facebook. 12:10 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual in Rosedale who was weak and perspiring. 12:10 p.m. A caller reported that a former boyfriend had made charges to her bank account. 2:02 p.m. A caller reported a burglary in progress at a Rosedale home. The Cathlamet ambulance was called 18 minutes later when a resident complained of chest pain. 3:31 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious man on a bicycle in the Rosedale area. 3:47 p.m. A Puget Island resident said she had received a disturbing phone call. 7:29 p.m. An erratic driver was reported on SR 4 near County Line Park. 10:07 p.m. A cell phone was stolen at a Cathlamet school.

November 29 — 8:38 a.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a Grays River resident who was lethargic and refusing to eat or drink. 12:20 p.m. A dog was seen wandering in the Grays River area. 12:43 p.m. An individual reported that she was being harassed and had been threatened with sexual assault. 2:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident complaining of weakness. 6:02 p.m. A caller reported two suspicious men taking pictures and picking mushrooms east of Cathlamet. 9:17 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded to a controlled burn that had gotten big and was not being monitored.

November 30 — 12:49 a.m. A caller reported that a vehicle was going to be repossessed from a Rosedale address. 9:31 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident with knee pain.

December 1 — 12:10 p.m. A welfare check was requested for a Skamokawa resident. 6:46 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded to a report of smoke at an Elochoman Valley business.

December 2 — 9:20 a.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a disoriented Rosburg resident. 11:41 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident complaining of abdominal pain. 1:08 p.m. A welfare check was requested for a Cathlamet resident. 4:12 p.m. A caller reported that he had been bitten by a dog on Puget Island.

December 3 — 3:00 a.m. Cowlitz County authorities asked the sheriff’s office to be on the lookout for a subject with a warrant for burglary and malicious mischief.
