Wahkiakum runners participated in the Central 2B League Championships in Rainier last Thursday.

Representing the John C. Thomas Warriors, Kaiden Ray took 26th place in the 2,500 meter middle school boy’s run with a time of 13:54.34.

In high school competition, Jamil Dimaano finished the 5,000 meter race with a time of 21:09.13 for 42nd place. He was followed by Leif Carroll, who took 51st place with a time of 21:31.41 and Levi Hauff who finished in 72nd place with a time of 24:55.6.

For the girls, Alexzandria Watkins took 38th place with a time of 31:03.16. Sister Kimberlee wasn’t far behind with a time of 33:32.35 and 41st place.

This was the final event for middle school runners, but post season continues for the Mules with a district meet in Onalaska on October 27.
