To The Eagle:
With the General Election just weeks away, I would like to thank this community for the incredible support. No one said that being in an elected official position would be easy, however, if you love what you do, all the hard work is something that comes second nature. Throughout my campaign, I have so enjoyed talking with both new community members and those I’ve known for years alike. From previous schoolteachers to parents I used to coach with, it has been fulfilling to share my professional career and accomplishments.
The office I currently run is one that is always busy and always changing. From vehicle licensing, document recording, managing elections, addressing budget concerns, and keeping good relations between all departments, my days are filled with challenging yet rewarding tasks. For the past four years, I have gained a greater knowledge in all aspects of business in the auditor’s office. It is a huge misunderstanding that my office solely deals with accounting work. In all reality, nothing could be farther from the truth. Each day, I face a wide variety of questions and scenarios that require top-notch problem solving skills. I am confident in saying that I have the necessary abilities to do just that.
The work I do day to day is truly not something you can just waltz into, it’s something that is humbly learned by years of hands-on experience. After a clean state audit this year under my reign, I know I am up to the task of continuing as your county auditor.
Honesty, transparency, and commitment are three core values that I have really focused on while battling down my campaign trail. Promises can be made and talk can be cheap, however proven leadership speaks for itself. I would like to graciously ask community members to consider casting their vote to retain me as your auditor. I can, and will, spend the next four years continuing to run an effective office. I will be readily available to answer any questions you may have. I will show why I am the best choice for this job.
Thank you for your consideration.
Nicci Bergseng
Wahkiakum County Auditor
