A voice for Matt Kuhl

To The Eagle:

Matt Kuhl is the right choice to serve as the next Wahkiakum County Auditor. I have had the privilege of getting to know Matt through his membership in the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Cathlamet. For a man so young, Matt has already chosen to dedicate much of his life to public service. He joined the United States Army at 20 years of age and served two tours of combat duty in Iraq before he was 25. As Matt told me, he believed it was his duty to volunteer to serve in Iraq because if he didn’t, somebody else would have to go.

After being honorably discharged from the service, Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Washington State University. He now works at the Futcher Group, a certified public accounting firm in Kelso, but as much as he enjoys his challenging work there, Matt hopes to serve again as the next Wahkiakum County Auditor. The citizens of Wahkiakum County would be fortunate to have him do so. Matt has the education, the leadership, and the practical business experience to make the future of the Auditor’s office a very bright one. I encourage the voters of Wahkiakum County to support Matt. He is certainly worthy of it.
