The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team split games this week with a win on the road and a loss at home.
Last Thursday, the team traveled to Adna and won the match in three sets, 25-16, 25-15, and 25-20.
"The girls were on fire with energy tonight and had a lot of fun," Coach Kayli Hurley said.
Charlie Ashe, Solana Stanley, Mckensi Fluckiger, and Ellie Leitz were 100 percent from the service line, according to Hurley. Leitz, Macie Elliott, and Nai'a Freeman had two kills each.
On Tuesday, the Lady Mules hosted Napavine and lost in three sets, 12-25, 14-25, 24-26.
Hurley's standouts were Stanley and Fluckiger with "awesome serve receive." Leitz led the team with eight kills, Freeman had six, Ashe had three, and Shantelle Shervey had two. Hurley also praised Destiny McGowan and Aubrie Montgomery for solid defense.
The team travels to Toledo on Thursday and Kalama on Tuesday. Their final home game of the season is October 22 against Rainier.
The Lady Mules are 3-3 in league and 4-6 overall.
