The Naselle-Grays River Valley School District Board of Directors met Tuesday for its monthly meeting in the Middle School Commons.
In personnel matters, the board approved the hire of George Garcia, bus driver, and the resignation of Sylvia Hoagland as middle school volleyball coach. Haleigh See was hired as middle school volleyball coach. A short leave of absence was approved for Ditas Baker, Youth Camp teacher, for out of country travel.
In final matters of business, out of area teaching assignments were approved for the following: James Moten, physical education, See, health/fitness and Spanish, Kathryn Green, physical education, Nathan Bruce, math, Brian Macy, math and Hoagland, physical science and anatomy/physiology.
Policy 6000, Program Planning, Budget Preparation, Adoption and Implementation was also approved, and several other policies had a first read.
Both the Highly Capable and Title I Plans were approved for the 2018-19 school year. K-12 Principal Quinn Donlon, presented the goals his teachers will work on for 2018-19.
The next school board meeting will be on October 16 at the Middle Commons, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
