Puget Island Fire Department will host its second annual National Night Out event. National Night Out (NNO) is a nation-wide event that’s main purpose is to build strong partnerships between the police and communities.
Tuesday, August 7 at 5:30 p.m., PIFD will serve root beer floats at the department fire hall on SR 409.
Volunteer Annie Howell said “This year we want it to be bigger and more exciting than last year, so we’re bringing in some fun activities for the kids. Either way we wouldn’t be doing anything if the community and our Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s office weren’t both so willing to have these important relationship building get togethers!”
