Volunteers still needed and all group leaders and others that utilize the Center that could not make the training please call or email WCC to schedule a time to fill out any additional paperwork and to sign up for fun events or to host. If you need court ordered or volunteer hours we would love to have you serve here.
Summer Lunch Program is at J.A. Wendt Elementary School, Monday through Thursday 12 p.m. -12:30 p.m., or call Ginger Hake at 360-795-8630 ext 236 to order a lunch for bus delivery from Wahkiakum on the Move, they will deliver at their fixed locations. Come by the Center to grab a flyer with the 20+ locations. Every Thursday there will be books available at the school and on the bus. Thursdays, children can also join the local senior lunch. Summer lunch runs until August 16 for all demographics.
The next Wahkiakum Outdoors Presentation will be on the local marina. Wahkiakum Port 1 Marina; Facilities, Programs, and Plans Aug 21, 6:30 p.m., by Todd Souvenir, Wahkiakum Port 1 Maintenance Manager. Todd will cover History of the Marina, Current Activities, Farmers Market, Dredging Project, Lodging Opportunities, Launch Maintenance, and other topics.
Friday Night Movie is on August 3. Popcorn provided or order food ahead of time by 6:30 at Maria’s (360) 795-3032 or The Pizza Mill (360) 795-3311 (free pizza delivery).
