Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Local Leaders and SW Washington Transportation Planners invite the public to participate in a discussion on Wednesday, June 20 on current issues facing Freight Transportation in Southwest Washington.
The session will include a discussion on truck parking needs. Drivers work hard to balance the constraints of shipping and delivery schedules, available safe parking, and hours of service limitations. Both the public and private sector have a commitment to provide safe, efficient truck parking spaces that increase efficiency of freight delivery and reduce congestion.
The meeting is intended to gather and disseminate information issues relating to freight movement in the region. It is free to attend and will be held from 3-5 p.m., at Spiffy’s Restaurant, 110 US Highway 12, Chehalis (I-5 Exit 68).
Space is limited so call or email the CWCOG at cwcog@cwcog.org or call 360-577-3041 to register.
For more information call Mary Jane Melink, CWCOG, 360-577-3041 x 107.
