Memorial Day program set

Wahkiakum residents are invited to honor veterans at a Memorial Day service organized by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The service is planned for Monday morning at 9 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, according to new post commander Bill Tawater.

Ruth Kimmel will say a couple prayers, and Tawater will speak about the importance of Memorial Day. They are still looking for a bugler.
