What's happening at the Fair?

Greetings from the fair office! Wow, here it is already May. Dollars for Scholars will be here June 2.

The Fair Foundation Dinner and Auction was a huge success. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped put the event on so they can bring the "Challenge of Champions" to the fair grounds on July 20.

We will have two clean up days this year one on May 12 and one on May 19 both starting at 10 a.m. If you wish to volunteer please come on out; there will be a list to do. If you have a weed eater you can bring it. All volunteers will get a BBQ lunch at the end of the day.

On this Saturday May 12 will be the monthly Flea Market. Tables are still only $10. Also the Fair Foundation will have a book sale in the Exotic barn. So come out and get some great deals. One vendor will be doing specials after noon ($3.00 a bag full and $5.00 a box full) so we hope to see you there.

Saturday May 19 will be the first leg of the Silver Buckle Series. Thank you to Val for all her hard work on this event. This is the first series of four. The other dates are June 16, August 18 and September 8. Entries start at 8 a.m., on these days.

Next it’s that time again to look for Fair Royalty. Anyone interested in running this year should call the office and leave your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I would like to get the Royalty started as soon as possible. You earn money for yourself and you get dinner and the concert at the Cowlitz County Fair. Age limit this year is from 13 to 19.
