Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments (CWCOG), as the Longview-Kelso-Rainier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and lead agency for the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), invites the public to comment on the draft 2019 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP).
The UPWP is a federally required work program of how state and federal funds will be used by the CWCOG for regional transportation planning during the next fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). The work program is developed by CWCOG staff in cooperation with MPO/RTPO member agencies, Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT), and Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). It is reviewed by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), WSDOT, and ODOT before being presented to the CWCOG Board of Directors for adoption. The document must follow guidelines set forth in state and federal regulations.
The draft 2019 UPWP will be available online at http://www.cwcog.org or by request at: CWCOG at Administration Annex / 207 North 4th Ave, Kelso, WA 98626 (360) 577-3041, beginning May 8. Questions may be directed to Robert Stevens at CWCOG by regular mail at the address above, via email to rstevens@cwcog.org, or by FAX at (360) 214-3425. All comments must be received by May 22 at 5:00 p.m.
Those needing special accommodations to participate in this process should call 360-577-3041 by 5:00 p.m., May 18. Ask for the ADA Coordinator. For TDD users, use the state's toll-free relay service, (800) 833-6388, and ask the operator to dial 360-956-7575.
