Vada Blanche Mosteller, 86, of Cathlamet died April 11, 2018 at Hospice Care Center in Longview. She was born September 22, 1931 in Bryson City, North Carolina to Raleigh and Maude (McMahan) DeHart.
She attended school in North Carolina and married Paul Mosteller on September 6, 1947 in Georgia. They moved to Cathlamet in 1967. Paul died March 17, 2011 in Tacoma.
She is survived by children Shirley and Tom Mullins, Pound, VA; Linda and Rick Bauman, Lapine, OR; Lloyd (Herb) and Anita Mosteller, Hubbard, OR; James (Dave) Mosteller and Russell (Vance) Mosteller, both of Cathlamet; and Orvi (Eldon) and Meija Mosteller, Minnesota; brother Jack DeHart; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren with one on the way and one great great grandchild with another on the way.
Her siblings included Tom, Jack, Joe Earl, and Thad DeHart, sister Sue Rogers and another brother James Rogers.
She and Paul lived at various times in North Carolina, Washington and Oregon.
Blanche enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening.
Blanche had a family only funeral on Friday, April 13 and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet.
A celebration of life ceremony was held April 21. Dowling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
