Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
On April 24 at 6:00 p.m., WSU Master Gardener Dixie Edwards will explain how to construct a simple and inexpensive sprinkler system that can be used for vegetable gardens, hanging baskets, porch plants and for other situations.
Watering plants can become a real chore during summer. Running a motion sprinkler on the garden wastes water and waters the weeds as well as the plants. Find out how to develop a sprinkler system that allows flexibility to reduce water use, save time, use less labor and control weeds.
The class will be held for free in the Event Center located in Longview at the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds. The workshop is sponsored by Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners. For more information, contact Gary Fredricks at (360) 577-3014 Ext 3.
