Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Tidy Up the Town, sponsored by Pioneer Community Association, will take place on Saturday morning, April 28 from 9 a.m. – noon. Please join us at the Community Center at 9 a.m., and bring your work gloves, shovels, rakes, hoes and wheelbarrows! We are going to work on weeding and cleaning up the sidewalks, flower beds around the Library/Community Center and the Waterfront Trail from the stairs at the point to the bridge. This is a fun way to spend with family, teams, classes and friends as we all pitch in together and make Main Street Shine!
Wahkiakum Outdoors and Humanities Washington will host author David Berger as he discusses, “The Razor’s Edge: The Washington Razor Clam Phenomenon.” This presentation will be held on Saturday evening, April 28 at 6:30 p.m., in the River Street Meeting Room in Cathlamet.
This Friday’s movie is rated PG. Adolescent wizard-in-training Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts for another year of schooling and learns more about the dark past of the boy who grew up to become Lord Voldemort in this, the sixth installment of the film series. The movie starts at 7:00 p.m. and popcorn is free. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks or pre-order pizza before the movie.
It is National Volunteer Week – a perfect opportunity to thank all our volunteers for keeping the Wahkiakum Community Center growing and meeting the needs of our citizens.
