Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

FOS exhibit open April 13-29

The Friends of Skamokawa Organization presents a "Creative Wood Designs Exhibit" April 13-29, Thursday-Sunday, 12-4 p.m., at the River Life Interpretive Center/ Redmen Hall 1394 West State Route 4 in Skamokawa, phone 360-795-3007.

Local wood crafters will share their artistic expertise. On display will be wooden bowls, carved fish, benches, miniature houses, and more. There will also be several antique wooden duck decoys from the 1920's-1960's to view. An artist reception will be held on Saturday April 14 at 1 p.m. Admission is $3.00 for adults and children under 12 are free.

The River Life Interpretive Center is part of the historic 1894 Central School House and is also historically known as the Redmen Hall.

They are a non-profit organization. All funds from this event are dedicated to the operation and preservation of this 1894 Schoolhouse.
