Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
Lower Columbia College Art Gallery: Peipei Wallace (Lower Columbia College ceramic instructor) will be exhibiting art during the month of April.
Exhibit pieces include ceramics and mixed media prints. The theme of Peipei’s work is based on the cultural importance of food (born and raised in Taiwan). Peipei has lived in the U.S. for over 15 years and her Chinese cultural identity has shifted to blend with American culture. The use of ceramics, printmaking, and brush drawing have a long history in Chinese culture which she continues to use with a contemporary viewpoint.
The opening reception is Tuesday, April 3 from 4-6 p.m. The exhibit runs through April 26. The gallery is open Mon-Tues, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Wed-Thurs, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The art gallery is located in the Rose Center for the Arts, 1600 Maple Street, Longview.
