Grays River Valley Center News

Good day everyone, just a few updates.......

It has been a good year so far, we have had several events. In February we had an Appreciation Dinner for Wahkiakum County Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Emergency First Respondors. It was a great turnout.

We also had a Valentine Craft Day; the children enjoyed making cards for loved ones. Pictures posted on Grays River Valley Center on Facebook.

A special thank you to Cliff and Kaye Weimer for attending, and we had the honor of hearing Cliff sing several songs. Some jokes and sayings were read by our Treasurer Vanessa C. Slitcher, and awards handed out by Denise Blanchard.

Beautiful roses were donated for each table from Daisy Chain Floral, thank you so much. A thank you to Dee Nikkila who helped serve, and Nick who put an article in the Chinook Observer along with a very nice picture of Cliff Weimer.

In other news we have decided to make a change in our movie night, and have movies only on special occasions, we will keep you posted.

Sewing class is still held on Tuesdays, 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Bring your favorite project, and let us know your interest for classes.

The Grays River Valley Center Library is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 - 3:00 p.m.

We will be painting the exercise room soon, as weather gets a little warmer.

It is time for sponsorship renewals, forms are by the office, if you did not get an email and wish to renew. The codes will be changed on April 1.

We are losing two great board members Vanessa Schlitcher - Treasurer is moving, we had a going away party for her on March 17. She will be missed. Judy Adamson is our secretary and would like to concentrate on the library. So if you are interested, forms to become a board member are located by the office. Come and join our team.
