Beverly J. Seaberg

Beverly J. Seaberg, 90, died March 11, 2018 at her home in Longview. She was born February 18, 1928 in Astoria, Ore., to Leonard and Mary (Aldred) Jacobson.

She was raised on Puget Island and lived most of her life there. After graduating high school she married Carl Seaberg in 1946. She and Carl lived on Puget Island and raised their sons there.

They enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and family time. Bev was an astute business woman, she started the first real estate office, Beverly Realty, in Cathlamet. She worked for Congresswoman Julia Butler Hansen for several years and retired after several years as payroll clerk at Crown Zellerbach. Bev also loved to cook, can, crochet, make ceramics, work crosswords and read.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Alice Seaberg, a daughter-in-law Janell Seaberg, six grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two sisters Mary Lou Olson and Nancy Brady, and two brothers Don and Tim Jacobson.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sons David in 2005 and infant Arthur in 1949, and two sisters Carol Wendland and Shirley Jacobson.

No service will be held at her request. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
