Coming Events--Community Center in Cathlamet

Next Monday, March 19 from 10 a.m. – noon we will have a presentation on Diabetic foot care and footwear at the Community Center. If you are diabetic and have insurance, Medicare or are on a Washington funded Medicaid Plan the cost of shoes from Priority Footwear are covered. Please stop by for a free foot screening and receive a free pair of Diabetic socks. Snacks provided.

On Wednesday, March 21 from 2-4 p.m., Wahkiakum Outdoors will host a presentation on Honey Bees and beekeeping by guest speaker Bill Holmes, President of the Cowlitz Bee Keepers Association. The presentation will take place at The Hope Center – previously known as the Congregational Church on 3rd and Maple.

Next Thursday, March 22 from 10 a.m. – noon the Community Center will host a free Seed Exchange sponsored by the Master Gardeners. Bring your viable seeds to exchange with other gardeners. Prior to the event we are accepting any extra packets (even opened packages are okay) of seeds, any tubers, bulbs, plant starts, etc., you think gardeners might be interested in and you can spare. Any gardening tools you want to get out of your garage and are still in good condition would be welcome.

This Friday’s movie is a documentary rated G. This film was created as a non-profit documentary expression to inspire people to start looking at the world from a more critical perspective and to understand that very often things are not what the population at large think they are. The movie starts at 7 p.m., and popcorn is free. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks.
