Comets fall to Chitwins in district title game

The Naselle Comets boys basketball team lost to Taholah 68-58 for a second place district finish on Saturday.

Neck and neck for most of the game, the Comets were up by one at the end of the third quarter. That’s when Taholah got hot, pouring in 26 points for Naselle’s 15 in the fourth.

The loss sends Naselle into a loser out regional match with Pateros on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mark Morris High School. The winner will go to Spokane and fight to keep their season alive with another loser out game in the first round of the 1B State tournament on Wednesday.
