On Monday, the Mules took the long trip to North Beach to face the Hyaks in a loser out opening round of the district tournament. They lost 80-63.
"It was a tough loss for the boys," Coach Todd Souvenir said. "I really thought we could extend our season but we have to give North Beach credit. They knocked down nine threes in the first half and went six for eight in the second quarter. It really put us in a hole that we couldn't climb out of. We cut the deficit to eight midway through the fourth quarter but they knocked down another contested three and made 15 of 18 from the charity stripe in the fourth to secure the win."
Beery led the team with 17 points. L. Brown chipped in 15 and Z. Brown had 11. They both had 10 rebounds. LaBerge had nine points, Nelson scored seven. Carlson added three points and seven rebounds. Isaac Brown picked up a point from the free throw line.

"We are really going to miss our two seniors both on the court and off," Souvenir said of Zach Brown and Casey Wilson. "They are great kids."
