Beryl Eugene Curtis 79, of Cathlamet, died January 24, 2018 at Hospice Care Center in Longview. Beryl was born to Noble and Mary (Mobley) Curtis on January 17, 1939 in Los Angeles CA.
He was a self educated man of many interests. Most recently and beloved to him was his time spent as the minister of the United Methodist Church in Skamokawa. He was active in the church since 1993 and served the people there well.
Beryl and his wife of 32 years, Randi, moved to Skamokawa in 1992. They moved to Cathlamet in 2000 and he has worked at updating their home. Another of Beryl’s loves was construction and remodeling, as well as several years spent driving a long haul truck, when he and Randi saw many beautiful places across the country.
He is survived by Randi, a son Joshua Curtis, a daughter Toni Curtis and four stepchildren, Doug, Jeff, Tina and Michelle Beers, and nine grandchildren. A brother Gary preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Beryl’s Life was held on January 31 at the United Methodist Church in Skamokawa. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
