A life long resident of Wahkiakum county, Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Dunham, 77, died at her Grays River residence on January 18, 2018. The daughter of Leonard and Minnie (Hutton) Quigley II, she was born in Cathlamet on October 5, 1940. She grew up in Cathlamet, graduating from Cathlamet High School in 1958.
On July 11, 1959 she married Rhodney Dunham (whom she met at the county fair), settling in Grays River, where they resided since, having recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Elizabeth was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was the founder and director of Lower Columbia CAP Senior Citizen Program in Rosburg, serving for 16 years. In past years she was a 4-H leader and had been employed at Appelo's Store in Grays River.
Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, clamming, fishing, knitting and quilting. She loved her church (Valley Bible), her family, and her many close and life long friends.
Besides her husband, Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Charlotte (David) Rockwood of Silver Lake, WA and Carol (Ted) Parsons of Cathlamet; son Dwane Dunham of Grays River; sister Kathleen Oman Elliott of Castle Rock, WA; grandchildren Kyle Vasquez, Ryan (Liz) Rockwood, Erick Rockwood, Dustin Dunham, Blake (Allyssa) Dunham, and Marcie Dunham; three great-grandchildren; and members of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Quigley and one great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be Friday, January 26, 2018, 12 Noon at the Grays River Cemetery. Memorial service follows, 1 p.m., at Valley Bible Church in Rosburg with a reception following. Those wishing may make memorials in her memory to either the Grays River Fire Department or Valley Bible Church, envelopes for which will be available at the memorial service.
