January 1 — 10:40 a.m. A caller reported that someone in a white car had thrown firecrackers behind her vehicle at 1 a.m. 10:56 a.m. A deputy responded to the report that a vehicle had slid off the roadway in the Elochoman Valley. 1:37 p.m. The Grays River ambulance aided an ailing Grays River resident. 2:28 p.m. A caller reported that an individual had been seen driving away after backing into his vehicle in a Cathlamet parking lot. A deputy contacted the driver.
January 2 — 1:25 a.m. The PUD was notified when a power line was reported down in Grays River. 2:19 a.m. An alarm was activated at a home on the east side of the county. 7:47 a.m. A deputy and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident in the Elochoman Valley. 12:22 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was having respiratory trouble. 12:48 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance transported a patient at the clinic in Cathlamet with dementia and low blood pressure to the hospital. 1:14 p.m. A caller complained about a neighbor’s dogs running loose on her Puget Island property. A deputy tried to contact the neighbors but no one was home. 1:16 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an ailing Alger Creek resident. 4:38 p.m. A driver was given a citation for speeding in Cathlamet. 9:50 p.m. A caller reported a road rage incident in Cathlamet. The caller later said that the person who had been assaulted did not want to press charges.
January 3 — 9:45 a.m. A driver was given a citation for speeding in Skamokawa. 10:31 a.m. A caller reported that a boat was sinking at a private dock in Cathlamet. A deputy investigated. 11:15 a.m. A caller reported that an individual had violated a restraining order. 4:45 p.m. A caller reported that a juvenile had violated probation and was suicidal. 5:31 p.m. A caller reported finding a bag of methamphetamine in a Cathlamet park.
January 4 — 1:15 p.m. A welfare check was requested for an individual in Cathlamet. 4:08 p.m. A Rosburg resident reported that some medication had been stolen. He was advised to find a way to lock it up in the future. 10:46 p.m. A caller asked the sheriff’s office to visit a Rosedale residence to find out who was driving a vehicle involved in a hit and run.
January 5 — 6:00 a.m. A driver asked for assistance after his vehicle broke down near Nassa Point. 8:16 a.m. A caller complained about a neighbor playing loud music in the Rosedale area. 8:29 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual who was having trouble breathing in Cathlamet. 9:15 a.m. A caller reported that he was missing his military ID. 1:05 p.m. An individual was taken into custody after violating a restraining order. 1:49 p.m. An alarm was activated at a home on Greenwood Road. 2:40 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an ailing Rosedale resident. 3:03 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident asked to speak to a deputy about problems he was having at home. 6:18 p.m. A Rosedale resident became concerned when a juvenile did not return home after going to the store. At 6:55 p.m., the parent called again and asked to list the youth as a runaway. 10:29 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity at the fishing parking lot in the Elochoman Valley.
January 6 — 5:34 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that a juvenile had not come home the night before. The juvenile was believed to be in Longview, possibly with another juvenile who had been listed as a runaway. 10:01 a.m. A Rosedale resident complained about kids tearing up property while doing cookies on their ATV. 11:19 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious person walking down Columbia Street. The caller said the individual had entered two houses and had been seen hiding in bushes. 3:21 p.m. An individual reported that he had been stopped by a woman who had seen two men firing handguns on the refuge. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife was notified. 3:35 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an ailing Cathlamet resident. 4:00 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that someone had changed the numbers on his mailbox.
January 7 — 11:00 a.m. The District 4 Fire Department responded to a chimney fire at an Elochoman Valley home. 12:47 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an ailing Cathlamet resident.
