Coming Events--Community Center in Cathlamet

We are pleased to announce that we have hired a new coordinator for the Community Center. Her name is Kelly Shumar and she and her family have recently moved to Grays River. Kelly brings with her an impressive work history and is extremely enthusiastic and eager to jump right in and get to know her new community. She will begin working on Monday, October 23. Please stop in and welcome her! She is going to be a perfect fit for the Community Center as well as an asset to this community.

Today, Thursday, October 19, the Wahkiakum County Health Department will be offering flu shots during the Senior Luncheon at the Congregational Church, located at 3rd and Maple. The luncheon starts at noon.

On Wednesday, October 25, Koelsch Communities will be here at the Community Center from 2:00-4:00 p.m. They will offer a presentation on a VA Benefit program for Veterans and their surviving spouses. The presentation will start at 2:00 p.m., and last about a half hour. People in attendance are invited to stay after to ask questions or discuss specific issues. Please join us if you need this assistance.

Watch for the Wahkiakum On The Move new schedules!

Our Free Friday Night Movie this week is a youth fantasy called “Fantastic Beasts.” Movies begin at 7:00 p.m., and free popcorn is provided. You are welcome to bring in your own snacks and soft drinks.

Have a wonderful week Wahkiakum County!
