Amy Chadwick of Naselle is one of two candidates vying for Naselle/Grays River Valley School Board Position 4.
Chadwick owns the Azure Salon and Spa, where she currently works as a licensed cosmetologist. She attended the University of Idaho from 1991-1993, and Seattle Pacific University from 1993-1994. She has experience working in real estate sales and property management.
“This is an amazing opportunity to be able to represent and serve our community and youth,” Chadwick wrote in an email. “My two boys are a large reason for my passion in public school education. I believe all individuals ought to have a voice.
“It would be my intent and hope to create and establish effective communication between parents, the community and the school,” Chadwick continued. “As a parent and community person, it can often be challenging to find consistent communication between parents, community, school staff and school administration. We may improve that by working alongside our board and district; making improvements on the website for more clear pathways to information; a school newsletter; inviting people in to board meetings as well as introducing forums for open discussion. It’s important to me that opportunities for engagement are made clear, accessible, and with the common purpose of serving all our district students and families.”
