Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
The Liberty Theatre Presents: BLOODYVOX with BodyVox, Friday October 13, 7 p.m., at 1203 Commercial St., Astoria.
Spend a spooky Friday the 13th in one of Astoria's most famously haunted places. Start with a group of beautiful and talented dancers, add a hint of Hitchcock, a touch of Vampire, top it off with a healthy dose of ghosts and zombies and you get BLOODYVOX, a dance theater experience that mines cinema, folklore and our collective nightmares to bring the season of spirits and All Hallows Eve to life. Funny, bloody, and full of great dancing, this is Halloween as only BodyVox can imagine it.
Doors open at 6 p.m.
The Liberty Theatre is standing on what used to be the Weinhard Astoria Hotel. At 2:15 in the morning on December 8, 1922, amidst mixed rain and snow, a fire ripped through downtown and consumed 30 square blocks of Astoria. The Liberty rose from the ashes and opened for business on April 4, 1925.
Reserved seating: $20-35. Minors $5 in section C only.
Tickets available online at http://www.libertyastoria.org or in the Box Office, Wed-Sat 2 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
