Mildred Delores McCullough

Mildred (Millie) D. McCullough, of Las Vegas, passed away September 24, 2017 after a courageous, 18-month battle with cancer. Born in Longview, WA on January 19, 1958 and raised in Cathlamet, WA, Millie was a dedicated and enthusiastic employee of the Clark County School District and 7th-grade History teacher at Molasky Middle School where she retired in December 2016.

Millie was a loving and truly caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her husband and their families, and her “peeps” and kids at Molasky. Millie was preceded in death by her parents James and Delores Cochran (her best friend) and foster sister Theresa Guilory.

Millie is survived by her husband Kerry; her daughter Sarah Parsons (Nathan) from Cathlamet, WA, and son Robert Pennington (Jenna) from Portland, OR; her grandchildren Quinn Parsons and Gus Pennington; her brothers Wally Cochran (Cindy) from Coeur D’Alene, ID, Wayne Cochran (Kay) from Cathlamet, WA, Edward Cochran (Terri) from Woodland, WA; niece Stephanie Prestegard (Kevin) and grandniece Kyli Prestegard from Cathlamet, WA; foster brother Steve Weston (Deborah) from Moyock, NC; and Kerry’s sons Paul (Anne) and Aaron (Agnieszka) McCullough and grandchildren Alyssa and William McCullough from Las Vegas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on September 30, 2017 at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. Refreshments will follow services at the Parsons’ residence.

A private burial for the family will be held October 3, 2017 at Southern Nevada Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans’ Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV.

A memorial service will be held in Cathlamet at a later date.
