Wahkiakum High celebrates homecoming this week

Homecoming Week is coming to a close at Wahkiakum High School.

During the week, students have been dressing according to daily themes:

Monday: Team Day--students supported their favorite team.

Tuesday: Decades Day.

Wednesday: Athlete versus Mathlete.

Thursday: City Slicker and Country Bumpkin.

Friday: Red and Black Spirit Day. Also, there will be a pep assembly, and there will be an award for the most spirited class.

On Friday, 7 p.m., the Mules entertain the Raymond Seagulls for the homecoming football game.

At halftime, a parade of Corvettes will carry the homecoming court to the grandstand, where the homecoming queen will be announced. Members of the homecoming court are:

Freshmen: Princess MJ Neves and escort Remington Greenup;

Sophomores: Princess Naia Freeman and escort Winchester Greenup;

Juniors: Princess Macie Elliott and escort Zach Johnston;

Senior Princess Grayci Thomas and escort Terris Record;

Senior Princess Skye Jensen and escort Cody Terpsma, and

Senior Princess Maddy Mace and escort Ben McClain.

The Homecoming Dance will be Saturday from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the high school. The WHS Leadership Class planned all the activities.
